Our Story

In 1995 God revealed to Pastor Nate and Pastor Nicole that they would be church planters. From 1995 – 2010 God gave the Colvin’s the foundation and experience needed to begin planting churches. Prior to starting VOF Pastor Nate and Pastor Nicole assisted in planting churches and served as senior pastors for over 10 years at a total of 3 churches.

In March of 2011 Victories of Faith started having “gatherings”. First, these gatherings were held at the Colvin's home and then at Asbury Park Grove located on Bob Beatty Rd. before it became Pioneer Springs Community Schools in Charlotte, NC. We met on Thursday nights. The service quickly began to grow. Soon God showed Pastor Nate a campus on Arthur Davis Rd., initially called Alexanderana Rd. We moved into Arthur Davis Rd. facility in June of 2012.

In 2017 the property on Arthur Davis Rd. was sold, and VOF became a wandering Church. God was faithful. Many other loving congregations helped to house VOF while she was wandering. Some of those congregations were First Wesleyan Church of Kannapolis, under the leadership of Pastor Scott and Rev. Selina Wheeler. After the congregation worshiped at First Wesleyan, they rented a building where a school was located on 5500 North Tryon St. in Charlotte, NC. The congregation found itself having to move yet again in 2019. The congregation shared with another church, Shiloh Baptist Church in Charlotte under the leadership of Pastor C.M. Booker then, the great pandemic of 2020 hit. Yet the members of VOF prevailed. In the midst of the pandemic, the Lord blessed VOF with it’s current home, located on 711 Main St., Concord, NC. God is faithful.

God has already done great things through this ministry. VOF has sponsored feeding programs, supported local domestic violence shelters, assisting persons experiencing home insecurity, and increased the Kingdom of God by witnessing the love of Christ to many.
